Some years ago I walked the Offa’s Dyke Path and the West Highland Way, several times! The latter, being in Scotland, varied from a whole week of glorious sunshine one year to a mudbath the next.

Being young, I kept no records at all and have largely forgotten the details.

Well, now, despite my late forties decrepitude, I intend to do a few more. I’ll start with a gentle warm-up and kit test – The Speyside Way.  It will also serve as a test-bed for this blog, which is more of an aide-memoire for me rather than useful for anyone else…
